ACTRIGHT Canada Inc.
What we are
The mandate of ACTRIGHT is to promote responsible citizenship globally. In our world that is filled with hatred, divisions, wars, and other types of bickering, it is important to find a way to promote alternatives to these negative trends.

Why citizenship?
Leaders are chosen by citizens and these leaders come from among citizens. This is why at ACTRIGHT, we believe that fixing the behaviors of citizens will provide good leaders that will champion good governance all across different spheres of life. We strongly believe that leaders will continue to live the values they already imbibed as citizens even when they get into leadership roles.
We also want to be clear that we shouldn’t focus on the national and subnational stages when talking about leadership. There are leaders in homes, professional bodies, market associations, trade associations, student groups, corporations, not-for-profit institutions.
The values we promote
Equality
By human nature, we all have the tendency to want to be seen as better than others. In fact, we pursue many ambitions in life just because we want to be seen as better than others. While it is not a bad thing to be ambitious, there is risk stepping out of moral and ethical rightness if the ambitions we have is motivated by wanting to be seen as better, ACTRIGHT believes in equality of all humans irrespective of gender, age, religion, race, ability, skills, etc. Whether we believe it or not, no human being was created better than the other. An individual may be good with engineering skills, the other may be good in accounting and finance. We have to treat all men equally, provide equal opportunities for everyone and let people showcase their abilities.
Respect
It helps when we create rooms for others in our everyday life. The subject of respect is verse, it covers many areas. o Give room for others to air their views. o Don't let your actions or your words make people think less of others. o Admit your wrongs to your neighbour and apologize where necessary. o Don't attempt to take more than your share of what belongs to everyone. o Don't put yourself ahead of others even when you recognize the superiority of the abilities of others. o Don't obstruct the free movement of others if you have to stop.
Accountability
There are two sides of accountability that ACTRIGHT strongly believe will help to engender responsible citizenship. On one hand, we all have to be accountable to our actions. We will not make progress when we rationalize our mistakes and try to blame it on others. One of the reasons some leaders gravitate towards extreme actions, including going to war and waste many lives, is when they refuse to accept their errors and try to intimidate others just to cover their errors of judgement. We have to own up to our actions whether good or bad and be prepared to make amends when necessary. On the other hand, we must all be prepared to give account of our stewardship when responsibilities have been given to us in whatever capacity. What is common in our society is that leaders feel uncomfortable and get annoyed when they are asked to give account, whether financial or administrative. In some places, those who ask for leaders to be accountable will be hunted, vilified, and, sometimes, disgraced. The message ACTRIGHT is promoting is for everyone who has been given responsibilities to consciously create the process to give account of that responsibility given them.
Honesty & Integrity
Perhaps, what is lacking so conspicuously in the days we live in is the ability to deal honestly with others. We pretend not to know the truth so that we can gain undue advantage over others. We struggle to get we don’t deserve, We block others from getting to their destination by conspiring with others to stop the legitimate moves and drives of others. We selfishly and shamelessly lie to have more and steal from the common patrimony that should go round others in our communities, in our neighbourhood, in our municipalities, in our provinces and states, in our countries. We change existing rules to get more benefits at the detriment of other stakeholders. We play office politics and give a false impression of ourselves so that we can gain promotion and recognition. We inflate prices and indulge in over invoicing to make more money for ourselves. We offer money to decision makers to gain advantage over people who are more qualified than us. We follow all kinds of crooked and perverse means to get what we don’t deserve. We steal to have more when others who have legitimate claims to such resources do not have enough. We take money meant for projects that should benefit people and convert to personal use and we don’t care even if people die as a result of our nefarious activities. We make the institutions we work for to pay for our personal activities. ACTRIGHT is saying, STOP IT!
